At your STEMspot party, you’ll have private access to our full cafe area, hands-on exhibits, and all our tables, chairs, toddler tables & cafe bar seating! And your guests will be wowed by barista-service & river views!
Engineer Your Fun (DIY Package)
If you love bringing your own Pinterest-vision to life—this is the package for you.
We give you our beautiful space for 30 mins before party-time, and you make your theme come to life exactly how you’d like it!

The DIY package includes:
Personal pre-party coordination with our team
30 minutes to set-up/decorate your way
2-hour private facility rental with all hands-on STEM exhibits & café area included
Our space accommodates up to 75 guests (*see pricing)
Full use of our café seating with tables, chairs, high chairs, toddler table options, & bar seating.
Access to extra folding tables for dessert, favors, photos, & other displays.
No restriction on catering/food; bring what you’d like!
Café open with limited coffee menu (hot/iced coffee, cold brew, iced chai latte & tea). You can pay tab or have guests purchase drinks.
2 party hosts to handle party flow and clean-up
The DIY Party Package starts at $550 and includes up to 40 guests (both adults and children ages 2+ are counted). If your guest list is over 40, a $50 fee applies, and you may invite up to 75 total guests.
Ready-to-Go Package
Love choosing your décor but don’t want the stress of setting it all up on party day?
With our Ready-to-Go package, you get all the fun of planning your party look — without the running around. Simply drop off your assembled décor a few days before your event, and walk in to a beautifully set-up celebration ready for guests to arrive.

Simply Sweet Playdate Package
Our "Simply Sweet Playdate" Package is perfect for a child celebrating with a small group of friends or family. Your guests can enjoy the space during our PUBLIC weekday-only open play times and then gather together for cake and pictures in our private classroom. This simple and budget-friendly semi-private experience turns a playdate into a special celebration! Package is $75 and includes admission for birthday child & use of our classroom for 30 minutes for cake/singing. Open Play admission is reduced to $15/guest (ages 6 months-7 years) for this playdate party package. Please note max capacity is 20 for the classroom.
Weeknight Celebrations
You can choose our DIY, Ready to Go, or Classic package for any weeknight M-F from 4-6pm or 5-7pm and enjoy a 10% discount on your package price as well as more relaxed, flexible start-up time.

Our space is thoughtfully designed to be just as enjoyable for grown-ups as it is for little ones. Because of this, we’re best suited for parties where adults are celebrating alongside younger children.
Once kids reach school age (around 5 and up), their play needs often shift toward more active, high-energy experiences—climbing, racing, and other big-movement activities. Our play area, however, is created with a more museum-like feel: building, exploring, and imaginative play rather than running or roughhousing.
For that reason, parties for full classes of children age 5+ usually aren’t the best fit here. We truly shine when hosting milestone birthdays, especially for ages 1–4. That said, some families of older children do find our venue works well when the guest list is mostly younger siblings, cousins, or family friends.

Feel free to bring any catered food for your event! If you are choosing food that includes nuts, please alert our staff when booking so we can make sure we staff appropriately to deeply disinfect surfaces and clean to protect families that visit during open play hoping for an environment that strives to be nut-free.
If you don’t want to coordinate delivery or bringing food yourself, we partner with Salvatore's, our neighboring caterer on the 1st floor. When you order from them, we’ll handle the pick-up and setup to ensure your meal is fresh and hot for your guests. Order and pay for your appetizers, meals, or desserts directly & we’ll pick it up and set it up for you during the party (http://www.salvatoresriverwalk.com/)

Please help us protect our space by following these decor rules. Failure to follow these rules will result in loss of deposit and potential responsibilty for damages.
Decorating Rules:
Tape: Only Scotch or masking tape may be used on doors, windows, or tables.
Please do not use tape or adhesives on walls, ceilings, light fixtures, furniture, or floors.
Balloon Displays: Must fit in the elevator and be set up within your 30-minute setup window. All balloons must be popped and removed at the end of the party—our staff cannot dispose of them.
Loose Balloons & Piñatas: Limit loose balloons to 30, and keep them in the café area. Piñatas are not allowed unless they are the pull-string style.
Helium Balloons: Must be tied to weights—our ceilings are very high.
Outside Vendors: Let us know in advance if you’re bringing vendors (face painters,magicians, etc.) so we can coordinate paperwork and adjust your party timeline if needed.
Setup & Cleanup:
○ DIY Package: you will have 30 minutes before and 15 minutes after your party to set up and take down your décor. Staff will clean tables, chairs, play equipment, and floors, but décor removal and balloon disposal are your responsibility.
Ready to Go & Classic Packages: Setup and cleanup are fully handled by our team.
Note: Exceeding setup/cleanup time for DIY parties will result in a $50 charge per additional 15 minutes.

You can choose any theme for our DIY or Ready to Go Packages , as you are providing all the decor. Our STEMspot Classic Package includes our signature in-house STEM-themed decor-you are able to pick which combination of balloon colors you prefer.

Our cancellation policy:
14+ days before: Full refund of deposit or move your booking to another available date (same package). Call us and get a confirmation email.
6–13 days before: Deposit becomes a credit on your STEMspot account (to apply towards open play or café purchases)
5 days or less: Deposit is non-refundable. Add-ons (barista service, crafts, activities) are also non-refundable due to prep time.
Reminder: Your party isn’t officially canceled until you speak to a STEMspot staff member and get a confirmation email.

Absolutely! Our members receive 15% off their birthday party package.

While tipping is never expected, it’s always appreciated! If you’d like to add a tip when you pay your balance at the end of the party, you can bring cash or add it to your credit card charge.

You will be asked to pay your balance at the end of your party. We can charge any additional purchases made day-of and provide you with a final invoice. We accept cash or credit card. We do NOT accept personal checks. Cash payments receive a 3% discount.
